Good Things: NYC marathon, Reunion, Skateboarding Dog

HONOLULU (HAWAIINEWSNOW) - For the first time in nearly 30 years, an American has won the New York City marathon. Meb Keflezgee is a refugee from Africa and became a US citizen back in 1998. It's even more impressive because the 34 year old came back from a major hip injury to win against a deep field. It's his first major title.

A dog and his owner are reunited after more than ten years. Gary Rowley's beloved dog "Brindle" ran away 10 years ago after apparently using his snout to open a sliding glass door and escape. Rowley thought he had lost brindle forever, until a couple in Oklahoma posted a message on Facebook. They said they found the dog hiding under a bush and after a local vet found a microchip in Brindle's neck, they tracked him down.

You may think your dog's tricks are impressive, but check this out! This dog holds the Guinness world record for being the fastest dog on a skateboard. "Tillman the skating bulldog" made an appearance in San Antonio, Texas to strut his stuff on the pavement. His owner says the dog began skateboarding when he was just eight months old. He says Tillman learned the amazing trick by watching another dog push a skateboard up and down the street.
