Central Molokai customers urged to conserve water

MOLOKAI (HAWAIINEWSNOW) - The County of Maui Department of Water Supply is urging all residents and businesses in Kaunakakai, Kalae, Ho'olehua, Kualapu'u, Kipu, and Kalamaula, Molokai to use water for health and safety purposes only while the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands' well pumps are out of service.  At this time the Kualapu'u well is providing service areas with water, in addition to its regular service area of Kaunakakai town.

Customers are urged to reduce their water consumption by at least 25% by turning off irrigation systems and other non-essential uses of water in order to maintain an adequate water supply for health and safety purposes.
