YWCA's Dress for Success assists low-income women

HONOLULU (HAWAIINEWSNOW) - It's important to be prepared when you're looking for work, especially in these tough economic times. YWCA of Oahu's Dress for Success is a program that helps low-income women dress professionally for job interviews. Clients are 'suited' by volunteer 'Personal Shoppers,' at the YWCA's Dress for Success® Honolulu in Laniakea Center.

Molly Noble is the YWCA of Oahu's Dress for Success program coordinator. Terina "Tina" Mai Hoke is a past participant of the program. She is currently a customer service representative for United Airlines.

How You Can Help:

The YWCA is always looking for women who would like to volunteer to be a personal shopper for this program, people or retailer partners that would like to donate clothing and accessories.

Each month, the program has a clothing sale that benefits the program. Often you can find designer or high-quality brand name fashions. Sale is open to the public and anyone can take advantage of great values and support the program. Check www.ywcaoahu.org for details and dates.
