CHARLOTTE, NC (WTOC) - Carowinds, an amusement park located near Charlotte, has announced a new discount ticket program specifically for guests who hail from the state of Georgia.
From now until November 1, Georgia residents can purchase up to four discount tickets to Carowinds or SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt for only $19.99 each when they show their valid Georgia state driver's license at the main gate.
"This new discount for Georgia residents is over fifty percent off of the regular admission price," said Bart Kinzel, Carowinds' vice president and general manager. "We are proud of what the Park has to offer, and for many Georgia residents who have not had the opportunity to visit our park, we'd like to invite you out to experience what Carowinds or SCarowinds are all about-chills, thrills, and Fall family fun!"
With over 50 rides, shows and attractions, including twelve pulse-pounding roller coasters, Carowinds has something fun for everyone.
But when the nighttime falls, Carowinds transformThe Georgia Resident Discount Ticket may only be purchased at the Carowinds main gate. SCarowinds' Halloween Haunt is a separate admittance attraction and is not recommended for children under the age of thirteen.
Carowinds is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a publicly traded partnership that is listed for trading on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "FUN." In addition to Carowinds, Cedar Fair owns and operates ten other amusement parks, six water parks, one indoor water park resort, and five hotels. Cedar Fair also operates the Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy , Calif. under a management contract.
