Manoa (KHNL) - Warrior head football coach, Greg McMackin has heard the criticism of his team after losing three straight games, but McMackin is more focused on the positives of his team than the negatives.
Every team has to deal with injuries, but the Warriors have been hit especially hard, after losing their starting quarterback, Greg Alexander. The senior was leading the nation in total offense, when he suffered a season ending knee injury.
There are some encouraging signs for the Warriors team that McMackin is very pleased with, and that starts with new quarterback, Bryant Moniz, who started his first Division 1 college football game of his career this past Saturday against Fresno State.
Moniz faired pretty well in his first start, passing for 283 yards and two touchdowns, despite losing by 25 points to the Bulldogs.
The Warriors travel to Moscow, Idaho to take on the Vandals on Saturday in another WAC contest.
