Baldwin beach reopens after shark sighting

MAUI (KHNL) - Baldwin Beach on the North Shore of Maui has reopened after closing because of a shark sighting. The beach closed at 1030 AM Tuesday morning after the sighting of a 10 foot tiger shark. 

According to the Maui Aquatics Chief, the shark was observed about 400 yards offshore. The beach reopened about two hours after the sighting.

No injuries were reported. The beach is expected to remain closed for at least two hours after the last sighting.
