HONOLULU (KHNL) - A teen accused of shooting a man in Moiliili three months ago pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Thursday.

Tariq Holloway, 19, is charged with attempted murder, robbery and firearms offenses. The suspect's family was sitting in the courtroom as he appeared via video hook-up from the Oahu Community Correctional Center.

Police say he got into 24-year-old Zacheriah Eisenberg's car, ordered him to drive, and shot him twice before fleeing. Authorities in Chicago arrested Holloway and extradited him.

"Tariq is completely innocent," Joni Thomas, defendant's aunt, said. "He said when they got him off the plane, he said, 'Are you guys joking? Is this a joke?' He said, 'What's this have to do with me?' and he's like, you know, I don't know who this guy is."

Holloway remains in custody, unable to post $10 million bail. His trial is tentatively set for October 19th.
