Penn beats Florian by submission at UFC 101

PHILADELPHIA (KHNL) - Hilo native, B.J. Penn didn't waste any time jumping on Kenny Florian at UFC 101 in Philadelphia.

The lightweight champ pummeled Florian for three rounds, before letting loose in the 4th. Penn used a rear-naked choke to submit Florian. Penn improves to 14-5-1 with the victory and retains the lightweight title.

In the light heavyweight division, Anderson Silva knocked out Forrest Griffin in the 1st round. Silva treated Griffin like a rag doll and toyed with him all night long.

Silva improves to 25-and-4 with the victory.
