Kailua crash leaves man in critical condition

KAILUA (KHNL) - A crash in Kailua leaves a man in critical condition. Honolulu police say it happened shortly before 10:30 Thursday night. They say a moped was attempting to turn on to Maluniu Avenue from Manono Street when it collided with a pickup truck. T

he driver was ejected from his moped, and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police say, he was not wearing a helmet and may have been drunk and speeding.

The driver of the pickup truck appeared to be intoxicated, and was arrested for driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
