Victorino, Phillies win MLB best 9th straight

PHILADELPHIA (KHNL) - Shane Victorino and the Philadelphia Phillies haven't lost a step since the All Star break last week. With a 10-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Monday the Phillies have won 9 straight games. Now they'll go for 10 straight, a feat they haven't accomplished since 1991.

The Phillies pounced on the Cubs early scoring five runs in the first two innings. Chicago got their only run in the 5th inning.

Victorino did his share in the game going 2-4 with two runs scored raising his batting average to .308 on the year.
