SCOTLAND (KHNL) - At 59-years old, Tom Watson was on the verge of becoming the oldest golfer to ever win a major tournament title.  With a one-stroke lead over Stewart Cink, the five-time champion had to par the 18th hole to win the 2009 British Open.    Unfortunately for Watson, he bogeyed the final hole and that forced a 4-hole playoff with Cink.  Watson struggled in the playoff, losing to Cink by six strokes.    For Cink, it was his first major title of his career and his sixth PGA Tour victory.  His victory now marks the first time since 1999, that the first three majors have been won by players outside the top 10.
