MANOA (KHNL) - Facing elimination from the Western Athletic Conference baseball tournament, the University of Hawaii Rainbow baseball team sure knew how to keep their fans on the edge of their seats.

The 'Bows eliminated the Nevada Wolfpack from the tournament with a 5-4 win the 10th inning. Nevada had a chance to take the lead in the top half of the extra period. The Pack had two runners in scoring position with two outs, but pitcher Nate Klein had a huge strikeout to get UH out of the jam. Three walks in the bottom half loaded the bases for Vinnie Catricala who hit a sacrifice fly to right field to end the game.

"We've really pitched well for two nights now and that was the one area we were concerned about coming in, and these first two games we really pitched well and now we just gotta continue that till we start getting a little hotter offensively," said head baseball coach Mike Trapasso.

The 'Bows play Fresno State on Saturday at 3pm.
