HONOLULU (KHNL) - More than a week after a body was found in a ravine off Waimano Trail, the Honolulu Medical Examiner's office has released a positive ID.

The ME confirms the body is that of Gail Yoshida, 64. But the cause of death is still deferred pending further testing.

Yoshida left her Pearl City home May 3rd to walk her dog, Maile, but never returned. Teams from various agencies spent days searching for her.

The dog suddenly emerged from the trail May 13th, 10 days after the pair went missing. Crews recovered Yoshida's body a few hours later.
