MANOA (KHNL) - After picking up two more convincing wins against Boise State last weekend, freshman Stephanie Ricketts is named WAC pitcher of the week for the 2nd time in her career.

Ricketts threw her 2nd no hitter in the first game of the series against Boise State.

In the second game, she gave up only two hits while earning her 21st win of the year, but there's not much time to celebrate, on Wednesday the conference tournament kicks off in Fresno State, and Ricketts now embraces her role as number one.

"Well in the beginning it was a lot of stress and I didn't know how to cope with it, but right now, I'd rather have it be like that than any other way so it's good," said Ricketts.

As for their first game of the tournament, the Rainbows know what they need to do to get the job done.

"We just need to go there and concentrate and play our game, and if we play our game, then there is no team that can beat us," said senior outfielder Audrey Andrade

"We have at least one win against everyone, we've won all but one series, and that bodes well for us because they are confident which is good," said head coach Bob Coolen.

The Rainbows are ranked third in the tourney and open against 4th seed La Tech on Wednesday, the game begins at 4pm Hawaii time.
