MANOA (KHNL) - The Rainbow baseball team has picked a bad time to go on a six game losing streak. UH fell to LA Tech on Sunday, 8-7, as the 'Bows suffer their first sweep of the season.

Vinnie Catricala led UH, going 3-for-4 on the day and got home runs from Ryan Morford and Christian Johnson. In fact, the Rainbows led 6-5 in the 6th inning, but the Bulldogs took the lead on Patrick Thomas' double into the left-center gap.

His 2-run RBI gave LA Tech the lead, as they hung on for the 8-7 victory. Josh Slaats took the loss in relief, he is now 2-2 on the season.

The 'Bows are now 26-20 overall and 9-10 in the WAC.

UH will to the Bay Area to face St. Mary's on Tuesday, then play their final conference series at Fresno State, beginning on Thursday.
