HONOLULU (KHNL) - It's estimated that more than a billion people are celebrating Earth Day on Wednesday. Earth Day activities have now spread to more than 170 countries.

In Honolulu, dozens of vendors lined Fort Street Mall to show off their Earth-friendly products and services.

Duke Kenney, 7, got a trim from the Hawaii Institute of Hair Design, which donated the day's proceeds to environmental groups in Hawaii.

The Green Market also provided information on using energy efficiently, alternate sources of energy, and recycling.
