MANOA (KHNL) - After 17 years as Warriors head volleyball coach, Mike Wilton is resigning at the end of the season.    Wilton is the winningest coach in UH men's volleyball history, with an overall record of 314-166.

Wilton will move to the mainland over the summer and become an assistant coach on the BYU women's volleyball team. In 2002, Wilton led the Warriors to their only National Championship, only to have it stripped from them, over a controversial NCAA rules violation involving a player, who played alongside paid teammates prior to enrolling at UH.

Next Saturday's game at home against USC will be Wilton's last match as Warriors head coach, and it will also mark the final match for three seniors on the UH team.
