On Wednesday, Nash and the University of Hawaii agreed to a one year contract extension plus an option for another year.
After two years, Nash has compiled a record of 24-36, but his first year was handicapped due to the fact he was hired after signing day. However, with his extension in hand, Nash believes the future is looking brighter.
"It's only going to help us with recruiting knowing our staff is going to be around for the next couple of years. We need to win 18 games of make it to post season play, and if we do that we get the option year, but those are things that we have on our agenda every year."
"I think Bob has the nucleus of a team that can be very competitive next year with a couple of key additions," said UH Athletics Director Jim Donovan in a release. "I'm hopeful this vote of confidence in Bob's leadership and abilities will translate into the winning season we all want to happen. We structured the contract to provide Bob incentives for an 18-win season, a post-season appearance - or in a best case scenario, both."
