MANOA (KHNL) - The Rainbow baseball team improved to 16-and-9 on the season, after their 4-3 victory over Coastal Carolina University.

The 'Bows win the 4-game series over CCU, three games to one.

Hawaii had to hang on for the victory, thanks in large part to Josh Slaats picking up his 3rd save of the season.  Slaats pitched 2.1 innings and gave up a run, but struck out Chance Gilmore to end the game.

Kolten Wong went 1-for-4 with 2 rbi, 2 runs and a home run.  In the 8th inning, Catricala took a grounder off his face, but stayed in the game and in the bottom half of the inning, showed just how tough he is by hitting a double to right.  He finished the day, 2-for-4.

The Rainbows will now start WAC play, hosting San Jose State in a 4-game series, beginning on Friday, April 3rd.
