MANOA (KHNL) - It hasn't happened since March 14, 1998, but Chanticleer sophomore pitcher Cody Wheeler made sure Hawaii fans remember what a no-hitter looked like as Coastal Carolina defeated the 'Bows 4-0 in the series opening contest.

Kaneohe native Jayson Kramer kept Carolina off the scoreboard through five innings, but an infield single and an error in the 6th allowed the 18th ranked team in the nation to take a 2-0 lead.

Hawaii threatened to score in the bottom half of six, but Wheeler struck out the final batter of the inning to get out of the jam.  Wheeler finished with 10 strikeouts and three walks.

The series continues on Friday with a double header starting at 3:30pm.  The finale is scheduled for Saturday at 12:05p.
