MANOA (KHNL) - After dropping their only two losses to UC San Diego in the program's history, the University of Hawaii Warrior volleyball team returns to the Stan Sheriff Center for a pair of non conference matchups against the New Jersey Institute of Technology. With only eight MPSF matches remaining in their season, UH figures they need to win at least seven of them to make it back into the playoffs. And even though this weekend's matches won't factor towards their postseason future, the outcome is just as important to the team.
"We need these games, we need to build our confidence especially after two tough losses on the road, we need to use these games as a confidence booster," said senior libero Michael China.
"Well it's now or never, we know we gotta do, this weekend will be a good chance for us to get some momentum going into Irvine next week," said Warrior captain Jim Clar.
"Experience is the great teacher, you know, so we gotta keep working hard, keep our chins up, and just hope to get better especially between 20 and 30 points," added head coach Mike Wilton.
Both matches take place on Friday and Saturday, both have a start time of 7pm, and both can be seen live on K5 The Home Team.
