LAIE (KHNL) - They've won 24 straight games, yet it'll be number 25 which will take the BYU-Hawaii men's basketball team to a place they've never been before.
The Seasiders will take on Cal Poly Pomona in the West Regional final on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to the Elite Eight in the division two tournament.
The matchup was originally scheduled to tip off on Tuesday, yet travel disruptions for Cal Poly forced the change.
Regardless, the Seasiders say they'll be ready to play come Wednesday.
"It means everything as a senior, all the hard work pay off and it gives a chance for the younger players to look up to the seniors and see how hard you have to work, but it just means the world to us," said Trenson Akana.
"It's exciting, it's going to be the most important game of my career, especially here in Hawaii. Playing in front of the community, the crowd, our fans who come and support us it's just unbelievable," said Lucas Alves.
Wednesday's final tips off at 7:30pm at the Cannon Activities Center in Laie.
