Friday school closures

HONOLULU (KHNL) - The following schools and universities will be closed on Friday January 16th due to high winds:

University of Hawaii - all campuses except on the island of Hawaii- only essential employees should report to work

All public schools statewide except for schools in Hawaii County

All Catholic Schools on Oahu, Maui and Kauai

All Honolulu Community Action Program Head Start
centers will be closed

Kamehameha Schools - Kapalama and Maui campuses and all Kamehameha preschools statewide EXCEPT for those on Hawaii Island

Chaminade University in Honolulu will be open for classes on Friday
