HONOLULU (KHNL) - In an effort to reduce noise emissions, Aloha Air Cargo has installed hush kits on its full fleet of airplanes, the first in a series of improvements the company is slated to unveil in the near future.
U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye says he is pleased with the investment Aloha Air Cargo has made to reduce aircraft noise.
"This is a testament to its commitment to not only continue quality inter-island air cargo service, but also as good corporate citizen to those communities in and about Hawaii's airports such as Keaukaha on the Big Island and Spreckelsville on Maui," said Inouye.
Aloha Air Cargo made the installation of noise suppressors in the aircraft engines a top priority shortly after its inception.
