Oahu's secret spots web exclusive: more secret spots

Posted: Updated:

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A view from the SkyNewsNow over Kaneohe Bay gives you an idea of just how big the sandbar is. Kapapa Island can be seen just beyond the sandbar as can Chinaman's Hat off in the distance. Finally, the Heeia fishpond comes into view. Work to restore the ancient pond continues today.

Next, it's not a hidden place and not off limits to the public, but the maze in Kapolei can be a daunting task to get through. In the video a view from above.

Over on the coast of eastern Oahu lies a trail of tide pools both deep and clear enough to take a nice swim as waves crash along the cliff side. The tide pools trail lies just below the Makapuu light house.

To reach it, you will need to park at the bottom of the Lighthouse trail; follow the trail up the hill until you reach a bunker close to the lighthouse (there will be a clearing off the cliff side). Then make your descent down the cliff to the tide pools. Good luck!

And finally, judging by the amount of people at this waterfall, it doesn't seem to us like a hidden place, but it is appealing to the eye. To tell you the truth, we don't even know where this place is. If you have an idea, feel free to let us know.
