Hawaii Girl Scouts recall cookies

Posted: Updated:

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Girl Scouts of Hawaii have issued a quality withdraw of one of the cookies sold in the islands. But the group says it's for quality reasons, not because of a health risk.

The issue is with the Lemon Chalet Crème Cookies. The Girl Scouts say they have received complaints of discolored crème filling.

The same type of cookie was recalled last month by Girl Scouts on the mainland for a bad taste. But no boxes of those affected cookies were sent to Hawaii.

Customers who have Lemon Chalets should either contact the baker at 800-962-1718 or its website.
