Tutau NuusilaHONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Police arrested 68-year-old Tutau Nuusila Thursday afternoon on suspicion that he sexually assaulted a five-year-old girl several times last week. Investigators say Nuusila sexually assaulted the girl while she was sleeping from November 10-12.
Nuusila fled from the home where the assaults occurred, but was later located and taken into custody. He is a registered sex offender with prior convictions for sex assault in 1986 and 1989.
Nuusila is charged with 1st degree sexual assault and expected to make his first court appearance on Monday November, 23. Bail was set at $150,000.
