There is a flash flood watch in effect through 8:30 PM, a ragged band of heavy showers and thunderstorms will intensify as it moves northwest at 10 to 15 mph over waters

between Kauai and Oahu, and over waters south of Kauai. Winds will gust as high as 30 mph as the line passes with dangerous cloud to surface lightning strikes accompanying the line. These heavy showers are expected to move over Kauai by 10:00 PM.

Also through 8:00 PM, a narrow line of heavy showers and thunderstorms will move over Oahu from the south, bringing a period of very intense rainfall to the leeward side of the island. The line will move toward the northwest at 15 mph, bringing a brief period of rainfall rates near 2 inches per hour and will spread toward central and northern Oahu through the evening.
