Flash flood advisory for Hawaii island

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A flood advisory is in effect for the Big Island until 6:15 PM Wednesday. Radar shows heavy rain in a line seven miles southwest of Hilo, moving northeast at about five miles per hour.

Keaau is included in the advisory, but it is not limited to this area. This is in addition to the flash flood watch that is already in effect through Thursday night.

The advisory may be extended if heavy rain continues through 6:15 PM. Stay with HawaiiNewsNow.com for the updates, Guy Hagi will be tracking the latest starting at 5:00 on KHNL & KGMB.
