Split Ender

We've gotten a ton of requests for this one, so watch closely. It's the Split Ender and we're putting it to the test in this week's Does It Work?

You've seen the infommercial on TV. Now, you can end split ends and damage forever with the revolutionary new Split Ender by Revo Styler.

They make it sound so easy but Does It Work? Can the Split Ender put an end to your split ends? Rochelle Santiago of Waikele says a Split Ender is just what she needs.

"Because I use a lot of drying products, it tends to dry out the hair like blow dryers, straight irons and it starts creating split ends in the hair," says Rochelle.

And she is anxious to put it to the test for us.

"I think this would have been hopefully an alternative to having to cut so many inches off my hair."

According to the infommercial, this is how the Split Ender works.

"She's taking a section of hair, putting the Split Ender right in the middle of it, and slowly, slowly working it all the way down to the ends as if she was using a comb."

Each strand of hair goes through the Split Ender. When a broken piece pops through the safety screen, it's supposed to be shaved off by a rotating blade. The dead end of the hair should also be snipped off.

Now, Rochelle is going to give it a try. She puts a section of hair in the Split Ender, closes it and works it towards the ends of her hair.

The Split Ender does make quite a bit of noise but isn't giving Rochelle any problems. Rochelle tries it on a different section of hair. After a number of tries with the Split Ender, Rochelle gives us her initial reaction.

"So far, so good. I see some progress. I do see more of an even tone color where split ends tend to have your hair a little lighter. So I don't see that anymore, so it looks pretty good."

But what does the Split Ender actually snip off? Rochelle opens the compartment and finds lots of tiny cut hairs.

"It looks amazing. I can see some of the split ends here. I think it's worth my money. I think it's something that everyone who has split ends should use," says Rochelle.

So Rochelle, Does It Work?

"Yes it does. It does work."

And if you want a Split Ender of your very own, it'll cost you about 70 bucks.
