    This weekend will be the final home stand of the regular season for the University of Hawaii men's volleyball team when they host CSUN.  In all likelihood it won't be the last time the Rainbow Warriors play at the Stan Sheriff Center this season being that they're currently seeded to host in the first round of the MPSF Tournament.  It is, however, the last guaranteed match at home for the four seniors.

    The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team showed its moxie as it battled back to defeat Kansas in five sets in its third and final spring match of the year, 25-20, 20-25, 20-25, 27-25, 15-11. McKenna Granato recorded a double-double with a match-high 17 kills and 12 digs while Emily Maglio added another double-double with 14 kills and a match-high 10 blocks on Tuesday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Set scores were 28-26, 25-18, 25-20.   The teams play again on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. MT (3:00 p.m. HT).   The Rainbow Warriors (20-3, 10-3 MPSF) had a 15-match win streak come to an end in addition to a 32-set win streak and 10-match MPSF win streak.

    The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team were pushed to the limit in all three sets of a straight-set win over No. 11 UC Santa Barbara, Friday in the first of two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation matches at the Stan Sheriff Center. Set scores were 25-22, 30-28, 25-23.   The fifth-ranked Rainbow Warriors (9-2, 2-2 MPSF) extended their home win streak to 12 straight dating back to last season and have won three straight over the Gauchos (6-4, 3-4) in Honolulu.

Harris matched her career-high with 24 points and Toeaina added a career-high 25 as Hawai'i earned its first road victory of the season and won its second consecutive Big West Conference game to improve to 2-2 in the league and 6-10 overall.

He had a record of 257-101-3, the seventh-most wins in FBS history.

    The University of Hawai'i football team seeks its third straight road win when it faces Mountain West divisional leader San Diego State (7-1, 4-0 MW), Saturday, Nov. 5 at Qualcomm Stadium.   The Rainbow Warriors (4-5, 3-2 MW) bid for a league title and bowl berth took a big blow at home this past weekend when they fell to New Mexico, 28-21.

    The No. 15 University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team (16-5, 9-1 Big West) has a big weekend of matches, beginning with the Rainbow Wahine hosting Long Beach State (16-8, 10-1 BWC) on Friday night followed by CSUN (8-15, 4-7 BWC) on Saturday. Both matches are slated to start at 7:00 pm in the Stan Sheriff Center.

Kick-off is 6:00 p.m., on Hawaiian Tel FCU Field at Aloha Stadium.   In honor of the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Rainbow Warriors (4-4, 3-1 MW) will honor the military with special recognitions throughout the game.
