    Hawaii's national championship winning quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, was honored with a parade today in Ewa Beach. The event began at the Boys and Girls Club. After a parade through the Christmas route in Ewa, the Bama signal caller returned to the Boys and Girls Club where a crowd welcomed him and festivities continued until 5:00 p.m.

    As the destruction on the Big Island continues, so does the outpouring of support from neighbor islands. Tomorrow a former Rainbow Warrior is hoping to do his part to help families in the Puna area pick up the pieces. Speed and agility trainer Kenny Patton will hold a fundraiser Sunday morning at Radford High School, with all the money made from the event going directly to victims of the Kilauea eruptions.

That call was from the UFC, asking the organization’s 145-pound champion to step up a weight class to fight one of the most feared fighters in MMA, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Holloway didn’t think twice: He accepted the fight and made calls to get his team of coaches ready to board a plane later that night.

    It’s been a long time since Logan Yoon experienced defeat inside the boxing ring. In fact, he said he doesn’t even remember what losing feels like. “Nah, I ain’t choosing it to remember it either,” Yoon said with a laugh. The taste of defeat is not something Yoon has stomached since turning professional less than a year ago. After posting a 100-11 amateur record, including a bronze medal in the Junior Olympics, Yoon has gone 10-0 as a pro.

    It’s been a long time since Logan Yoon experienced defeat inside the boxing ring. In fact, he said he doesn’t even remember what losing feels like. “Nah, I ain’t choosing it to remember it either,” Yoon said with a laugh. The taste of defeat is not something Yoon has stomached since turning professional less than a year ago. After posting a 100-11 amateur record, including a bronze medal in the Junior Olympics, Yoon has gone 10-0 as a pro.

    Konawaena High School standout basketball player Cherilyn Molina was named the 2017-18 Gatorade Hawaii Girls Basketball Player of the Year.   Molina is the third Gatorade Hawaii Girls Basketball Player of the Year to be chosen from Konawaena High School and is now a finalist for the Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year award announced later this month.

Coming off a three-game away series against then-No. 13 ranked LSU, the ‘Bows were able to steal the first game of the series before the Tigers won the next two games convincingly. Despite losing two out of the three games over the weekend, morale was not low before Wednesday’s practice, and for good reason.
