The cold front has moved east of the Big Island of Hawaii and we are starting to dry out. The trade winds that have built in behind brought some showers to the islands today, but should trend much drier on Sunday. Windward and mauka neighborhoods will be a little tomorrow morning, but join leeward areas with considerable sunshine by afternoon. Winds will turn a little more easterly tomorrow and be in the 10-15mph range.
The HIGH SURF WARNING remains posted tonight for north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai and north shores of Maui. Waves are expected to ease in size overnight but still be big enough for a HIGH SURF ADVISORY on Sunday. Use extreme caution along those affected shorelines.
