HONOLULU (KHNL) - Going green is the trend these days, and one retailer decided he wouldn't let all of the high end stores that surround him stop his mission to be an eco-friendly business.

Blue Hawaii Lifestyle is located in Ala Moana. It sells cups and utensils made of corn based products, all of which are biodegradable.

As you enter the store the floor tiles feel a little soft, that's because they're made from recycled cork.

"We are very conscious about the environment and what goes into our environment," said Jack Pitcher of Blue Hawaii Lifestyle. "Our to-go cups and spoons are degradable are made from corn based products, and won't clog up out system

The top seller on the menu here is the Acahi Bowl.

It is made from a palm berry fruit from the amazon. It is flown in frozen and is blended with soy milk and bananas.

It's a popular item rich in vitamins, it is topped with organic granola, honey along with fresh fruit.
