Public's help needed in finding robbery suspect

MANOA, Oahu (KHNL) - CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying a man wanted for robbery.

At about 9:35 pm, Monday,at Kanewai Park, on Dole Street near the University of Hawaii at Manoa, two males seated on a bench were approached by the suspect who was carrying what looked like a machine gun type weapon.

Dressed in dark pants and an army green camouflage jacket with a name tag that read "Lilo" on it, the suspect demanded money from the men.

He was last seen fleeing on foot eastbound into the park.

The suspect is described as a Polynesian male, with short black hair, moustache and scruffy beard.

He appeared to be 20-30 years-old, 180-200 pounds and around six feet tall.
