Cary Hiroyuki TagawaHONOLULU (KHNL) - Actor Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa, accused of domestic abuse, pleaded guilty Monday to the lesser charge of harassment under a deal with prosecutors.
He's free to ask for a deferral.
He was initially charged with misdemeanor domestic abuse for an incident involving his girlfriend in November 2007.
He must pay $1000 to an organization that provides services for domestic violence victims, and must attend a domestic violence intervention program.
The 57-year-old actor has appeared in such movies as "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Pearl Harbor."
