HONOLULU (KHNL) -- Court documents are revealing new information about a man accused of preying upon children. Investigators say the suspected Internet predator planned to videotape a sexual encounter with two young girls.

"Cases 65 through 69, state versus Eric Shiroma," Albert Cook, deputy attorney general, announced in court.

With a blank expression on his face, a shackled Eric Shiroma appears before an Oahu judge. The 23-year-old is accused of trying to hook up with two 13-year-old girls he met on the Internet.

"Solicited for sex, oral sex, all types of, different types of sexual acts," Cook said.

KHNL News 8 has exclusive video of his arrest last Thursday. Officers take the suspected child predator into custody, after he shows up at the designated meeting place.

Investigators say the Mililani resident had been chatting on-line with two undercover agents.

"During the chats with the subject known as 'ghetto_smurf808' I made (him) aware that I was a minor," Det. Andrew Brito, Honolulu Police Department, said in an affidavit.

"Anything you say can and may be used against you at time of your trial, so watch what you say," Russel Nagata, District Court judge, told the suspect.

Shiroma is charged with electronic enticement, drug offenses, and promoting child abuse.

"A search of his home, recovered the computer. Inside the computer was a disc containing child pornography," Cook said, referring to the promoting child abuse charge.

Detectives say during their on-line conversations, the suspect said "he would bring a camera and make videos of us engaging in various sexual acts."

"Our hope is always that with the publicity, and that when people see that committing this kind of crime will land you in jail, that people will stop doing that and stop soliciting our children," Cook said. "But they keep doing it, so it's disturbing."

Prosecutors say officers found cocaine and drug paraphernalia in Shiroma's car.

His preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
