HONOLULU (KHNL) - The University of Hawaii Sea Grant College Program is providing a free guidebook to help you and your family better prepare for a natural disaster.
Free Natural Hazard Preparation Guidebook is developed for homeowners. It outlines effective ways to signifiantly lower serious risks to lives and property.
"Our hope is that it will be widely utilized by residents of Hawaii and that they will be survivors and not victims should we experience a natural hazard in our islands," said Dr. Darren Okimoto, UH Sea Grant Extension Leader and co-author of the guidebook.
The guidebook is availabe free of charge from the UH Sea Grant website. A printed copy may also be requested from UH Sea Grant.
