HONOLULU (AP) - The demand for rooms in Hawaii rose seven-point-three percent in November.
That's according to hotel consultancy Hospitality Advisors L-L-C.
One-point-four million nights were sold during the month.
Hotels in the state were 72 percent full during November, up almost three percentage points over the same time last year.
The average daily room rates also increased -- up almost six percent to 142 dollars and 29 cents.
Total room revenue for November was about 196 (M) million dollars -- up about nine percent compared to the same time last year.
And for the year through November, hotels in the state generated almost two-point-five billion dollars in room revenue.
That number is on pace to surpass the room revenue record of two-point-seven billion dollars set in 2000.
