Instead, weight cutting has become a plague for organizations across the world and, more importantly, the fighters themselves. Cutting weight to drop to a lower weight class to have a size advantage over an opponent has its pros and cons. But as more fighters continue to cut massive amounts of weight in a short amount of time, the health of fighters is at risk.

Lowe reached the 5-8 mark (1.73m) against the nation’s best high jump field while battling poor weather. On her final jump of the next height at 5-10 (1.78m), Lowe’s heel clipped the bar and knocked her out of contention.

Hawaii (23-25, 7-12 Big West) was led by starting pitcher Dana Thomsen who shutout the Aggies on their home turf, giving up just four hits during her time on the mound.
