    Hawaii Swish, Geremy Robinson in it for the long haul

    Geremy Robinson saw an untapped market.  That's why the former University of Hawaii men's basketball player sunk his own money into starting an ABA franchise here when previous attempts went belly-up. The Hawaii Swish have won all three games in their inaugural season, and will try for a fourth Thursday night in the finale of an abbreviated schedule.

    First Tee of Hawaii hosts match play event featuring top Hawaii pros

    Some of the top pro golfers on the island are going head-to-head this week in a match play event at Hoakalei Country Club. 1987 U.S. Open champion Scott Simpson along with Sony Open standouts like Kevin Hayashi, Nick Mason and Jared Sawada were among the 32 players seeded Monday that will be narrowed down to eight by the end of the day Tuesday.  Wednesday, the top eight will play a stroke play format for a winner-take-all ten thousand dollars.

    For the third time this month, a University of Hawai‘i baseball player has received weekly conference honors, as officials from the Big West office announced on Monday that Adam Fogel has been named Big West Field Player of the Week. It is the first career conference honor for the Palos Verdes, Calif. freshman and the third for the program in the 2017 campaign, with previous awards going to pitcher Brendan Hornung (March 13) and outfielder Alex Fitchett (March 6).
