HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police on the Big Island are asking the public for more information surrounding an unsolved homicide over two decades ago.

On May 21, 1997, police discovered the body of 27-year-old Sean Burgado in his home on Malaai Road in upper Waiakea Uka.

Police are specifically looking for a subject who may have more information about the case.

Detectives recently received a tip about a male who may have been seen on Malaai Road in late May of 1997. That person may have been accompanied by two other unidentified individuals, police said.

Police have released a composite sketch that may be similar to that person as he appeared in 1997.

Anyone who recognizes the male in the composite sketch should contact (808) 961-2380 or Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300.
