HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow Wahine basketball team is officially on a roll.
The ‘Bows took down UC Irvine earlier this afternoon to extend their winning streak to three games in a 70-68 victory over the Anteaters.
"We played well for three quarters and got a little tight at the end," said head coach Laura Beeman in a statement. "We came out with confidence, and that was huge, the fast start proved to us we could handle the pressure, setting the tone for the rest of the game."
Hawaii (9-12, 5-3) has now won four of their last five games and have won three-straight games on the road.

Redshirt sophomore Amy Atwell led the way with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting while Makenna Woodfolk tallied 11 points on 57.1 percent shooting.
As a team, the 'Bows converted 17-of-18 from the charity stripe and 7-of-18 from three-point range.
"Everyone who played tonight stepped up for us," Beeman said. "To win these games, especially on the road, everyone needs to contribute. When they do we get results like we did tonight."
The Wahine will now take on Long Beach State on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. HT.
