HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was apparently attacked in Kalihi Valley early Friday, Honolulu police said.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. near the Kalihi Valley Homes public housing on Kalaunu Street.
Police said a group of about three to four suspects were involved. At least one of the suspects was armed with a knife, police added.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in serious but stable condition with stab wounds to his torso and arms, according to Emergency Medical Services.
Police arrested one suspect, 19-year-old Victor Vickson, in connection with the case, but it's not clear if he was the one with the knife.
The other suspects remain on the loose.
It’s still unclear what led to the attack, but police are investigating the case as an assault.
