Hawaii puts on offensive clinic in win over Long Beach State, 77-70

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Coming off a tough loss to UC Santa Barbara last weekend, the Rainbow Warrior basketball team bounced back tonight against Long Beach State in a 77-70 victory on the road.

Hawaii (14-8, 5-3 BWC) tied a school record with 14 three-pointers on the night, 10 of which came from the likes of Brocke Stepteau and Jack purchase who each made five apiece.

Stepteau led all scorers with 23 points while Purchase tallied 17 points of his own en route to the win.

Zigmars Raimo registered a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards and Long Beach native rew Buggs scored seven points to along with seven assists.

The ‘Bows will face a stiff test next against the Big West’s leader in UC Irvine on Saturday, February 9. Tipoff is set 5:00 p.m. HT.
