HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Liberals don’t usually pay attention to Tucker Carlson. They consider the Fox News commentator on the ultraviolet side of the political spectrum. But a few weeks ago Carlson did a commentary that getting a lot of attention from all sides. Carlson said, if you care about family values, you need to care about families, economically. He blasted politicians of all stripes as mercenaries with no long-term interest in your family. He said, don’t worship a free market economy, we don’t work for it, it should work for us.
This dovetails with a point I’ve stressed – being pro-business should mean, pro-small business. Small businesses care about their communities, plow money back, and create jobs. Big businesses export work, quit communities, and expect them to understand. This also speaks to the politics of regulation. Too much regulation is bad. But good rules focus executives on good service instead of gaming the system.
And that’s Crisis at a Glance.
