HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow Wahine basketball team completed their season-sweep of Cal Poly after a 70-52 win Saturday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
"We came out and played much better tonight, compared to what we did on Wednesday," said head coach Lauren Beeman. "A lot of the credit goes to our bench play, you look at out how Jadynn (Alexander) and Julissa (Tago) played, and that was key tonight. We're going to keep needing that as we move forward."
For the second time this season, Jadynn Alexander came off the bench and became a go-to option on offense for Hawaii (8-12, 4-3 BWC) . She tallied 13 points in the first half and finished with 15 on the night, a career-high.
Lauren Rewers and Julissa Tago each finished with 11 points to seal the victory for the Wahine.
The ‘Bows will go back on the road to play UC Irvine and Long Beach State on February 7th and February 9th.
