Authorities identify man whose remains were found at Big Island construction site

KAILUA-KONA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Authorities have identified the man whose remains were found last month on the Big Island.

Investigators have identified him as 52-year-old Kevin Anderson, of Kailua-Kona.

They say Anderson was reported missing in July 2013, when his mother said he left his home to go swimming at Honl’s Beach.

His remains were found on Dec. 18, 2018 at a construction site on Alii Drive.

He was identified by dental records.

The cause of his death remains under investigation.
