HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The No. 4 Rainbow Warrior volleyball team took down USC Saturday night in straight-sets (25-12, 25-23, 25-16) to clinch the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Warrior Classic Championship at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Rado Parapunov tallied 16 kills while fellow outside hitter Stijn van Tilburg registered 15 of his own.
Joe Worsley was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after recording 34 assists on the night. Gage Worsley registered a match-high 12 digs on the night, five more than his older brother.
Hawaii will now take on Stanford on February 1st and 3rd at the Stan Sheriff Center.
