HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Rainbow Wahine basketball team took down UC Davis this afternoon 65-60 at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Hawaii (5-10, 1-1) ended a three-game skid while snapping UC Davis’ six-game winning streak in the process.
"This was a fun game to be a part of," said head coach Laura Beeman in a statement. "We had a, do your job, move on to the next play, and a focused mentality. But we did a lot of tangible things today as well, like limiting our fouls and taking care of the ball. When we put those things together, we win ball games."
The ‘Bows went 18-for-22 from the charity stripe with an 82 percent clip and shot 35.8 percent from the field. Makenna Woodfolk tallied 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting and Tia Kanoa scored 15 points while grabbing seven rebounds.
The Wahine will host CSUN next Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. HT.
